For Hohnsteiner Forst GbR, Fürstlich Stolbergsche Verwaltung, high-resolution drone imagery and data analytics were used to detect bark beetle infestations in their forest near Stolberg, Germany, down to the individual tree level. Results were delivered in shapefile format, giving foresters exact coordinates to act on quickly, before the damage could spread.
