At Clear Timber, we build tools for cities, urban planners, arborists and foresters. Using high-resolution LiDAR, remote sensing, and mobile mapping, combined with AI-driven analysis, we turn raw scans into usable insight about trees. Whether you don’t have your trees mapped yet, you’re working with existing trees on a redevelopment site, analyzing canopy coverage, or tracking forest health, we give you what helps you make good decisions.

Clear Timber Analytics was born during the devastating bark beetle infestations that ravaged spruce forests across central Europe. As foresters struggled to keep pace with the rapid spread, I was inspired by plant-level sensing from agriculture. Collaborating with friends, we applied drone imagery and deep-learning analytics to detect infested trees. Delivered in shapefile format, this data empowered foresters to act swiftly. Today, our solution has expanded to include timber volume measurements, providing foresters with precise data to manage outbreaks efficiently and reduce losses. As our technology matured, we applied the same care to cities because urban trees deserve the same care and attention as managed forests.
